GoPoint, Inc.

Privacy Policy

GoPoint, Inc. (“GoPoint,” “we,” “us”) runs gopoint.com, a digital studio that builds websites, AI tools, content and video for businesses. This policy explains what information we collect on gopoint.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and our free tools. Client engagements are covered by the agreement for that project.

The short version: we collect what you send us when you ask for a project review or use our tools, plus basic analytics if you allow cookies. We use it to answer you and improve the site. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t put you on a mailing list.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

  • Form context: the page you started on, the referring site, and campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you clicked. We store these with your inquiry so we know how you found us.
  • Server and security logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
  • Cookies and analytics, only with your permission: if you choose “Accept” or turn on Analytics or Advertising in cookie settings, Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies that record pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and whether a visit led to an inquiry. See section 4.

YouTube data: our benchmark tools use the YouTube API Services to fetch public channel and video statistics. We cache this data temporarily and delete it on a schedule. Using these tools means you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of the data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. If you ever connect a Google account, you can remove our access at Google security settings.

Optional AI answer snapshots: when you request one, we send your two buyer questions to OpenAI for web-grounded answers. Do not include personal or confidential information. We keep the sample results and business comparison for up to seven days, together with hashed session and IP identifiers used to prevent abuse. An essential session cookie limits free checks; it is not an analytics cookie. Snapshot answers, business details and questions are not sent to Google Analytics. If you submit a project inquiry with a snapshot attached, that copy becomes part of your inquiry record.

We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and we don’t collect sensitive information such as government IDs, financial account numbers or health data. Please don’t include it in the notes field.

2. How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry, prepare your free project review, and send proposals you ask for
  • To run our benchmark and diagnostic tools and return your results
  • To understand which pages, articles and ads lead to inquiries, and improve them
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and enforce rate limits
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights

We don’t use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to it).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads targeted at you based on your activity across other sites). We don’t use remarketing.

4. Cookies and your choices

You can change your choice any time with Your Privacy Choices in the footer of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics and advertising cookies for that browser, and we show a confirmation that it was honored.

Do Not Track: browsers’ older “Do Not Track” setting has no common standard, so we don’t respond to it. We do honor GPC, described above.

When analytics cookies are off, Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed) without identifiers, so it can estimate site traffic in aggregate.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it for analytics or advertising (or use Your Privacy Choices).

California residents also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies, including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the right to delete and correct it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don’t sell or share it), the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don’t collect any), and the right not to be treated differently for using these rights. In the last 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); professional information (company, role, website); internet activity (pages viewed, referrer, if you allowed cookies); and approximate location from IP address. The sources, purposes and recipients are described in sections 1–3.

How to make a request: email info@gopoint.com with the subject “Privacy request,” or write to us at 23679 Calabasas Road, Ste 745, Calabasas, CA 91302. We’ll confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. To protect you, we’ll verify the request by confirming the email address it relates to. You can use an authorized agent, who will need your signed permission.

California “Shine the Light”: we don’t share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

8. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll ask for your consent or let you know by email.
